We are delighted to announce that our subsidiary, Furuno Hellas S.A. (Greece), is taking a major leap forward with the first newbuilding contract from Maran Tankers Management Inc. (“MTM”) in Greece.
MTM, the oil tanker shipping unit of Angelicoussis group led by Ms. Maria Angelicoussis, which owns more than 50 tankers, has ordered eight newbuildings of the 155,500 DWT LNG dual-fuel vessel suezmax from New Times Shipbuilding plus three shuttle tankers from Daehan Shipbuilding,and has decided to use Furuno’s navigation and communication package system.
Upon signing the agreement, senior executives from both companies held a meeting and expressed their commitment to further strengthen their business relationship.
