We are pleased to announce that FURUNO's bridge navigational watch alarm system (BNWAS) BR-500 has now successfully completed the EC type examination at DNV (Det Norske Veritas) of Norway, which is one of the notified bodies of MED (Marine Equipment Directive) regulated by the EC commission. Since October 2012, BNWAS has been listed in the MED A1 list, and now, the BR-500 is wheelmarked holding the MED Module B certificate.
